Today has been a rough day. We had to put Jake, our 14-yr old beagle mix, down. Jared got Jake as a puppy when he was in high school. Jake's health has been slowly failing and we knew it was going to have to happen before we went to Australia, but last night his legs finally gave out. He had no control over his back legs or his bladder and bowels. :( We took him in at 2:30 this afternoon. The vet was super nice and Jake went peacefully with my mother-in-law and I petting him. He is now getting to chase the quails in doggy heaven with Matilda, my sister-in-law's dachshund that died a couple of years ago. (Jake and Matilda always chased the quail when they were both with my in-laws here in Arizona.)

In better news, Jared's laptop is now repaired. The box arrived in Tuesday, we sent it back that day and to our pleasant suprise it was returned today! Yay! I am going to mail my (heavy) laptop to Jared and carry his much lighter one with me on the plane to watch movies, etc... besides, it has a longer lasting battery. ;)
Oh, my new, corrected no fee passport arrived as well.
